Hello fellow internet users, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Russell Winslow and I am an Internet Entrepreneur. I am currently involved in various web projects. This blog will serve as my outlet to the internet community. I’ll be writing posts about my different ongoing projects, as well as interesting and informative information I find relevant.

I have just completed the first version of a very exciting program. Since October my colleague Jason Ashby and I have been developing the first ‘Web Browser’ made exclusively for MySpace. The goal of this project is to enhance the myspace browsing experience, as well as make it easy for users to modify their mypsace profiles. I have just stumbled upon a great piece of DVD software. Many Windows users are surprised to find out that the included Microsoft Media Player software on Windows PC’s is unable to play DVD’s. This comes to a shock to many people because who would think that a powerful computer running Windows couldn’t play DVD’s out of the box. This shortcoming is for various reasons that I won’t get into, however fear not, there is hope.

As usual there are always big companies with deep pockets trying to shut down something great because they feel threatened by it. This time the hammer falls on Internet Radio.

I’m not going to dive deep into this topic but if you haven’t heard, the Radio Broadcasting Association of America, is trying to get Internet Radio companies to pay extremely HIGH royalty fees to the record companies. These fees are extremely high, much higher than mainstream radio. Since most Internet Radio stations are small companies they cannot afford the royalties so they will be forced to shut down.
